Two cards are read as one sentence: the first sets the condition and the second says what is being done about it. The Empress and The Magician together read differently from either card alone.
The Empress embodies abundance, fertility, and the creative force that nurtures all life into beautiful expression. She represents the mother archetype who provides unconditional support for growth and manifestation. This card invites you to connect with nature and allow creativity to flow through you effortlessly.
The Magician represents mastery over the elements and the power to manifest your desires through focused intention. This card signifies that you possess all the tools and resources necessary to achieve your goals right now. It encourages decisive action and confident expression of your unique talents.
The pairing is read as emphasis: The Empress names the condition, The Magician names the response it tends to produce.
If both cards appear reversed in a spread, the reading is usually about something internal rather than an event.

Combinations are not read as positive or negative in isolation. What matters is the question and the position in the spread.
Usually yes. Read as a sequence, the first card sets the condition and the second shows the direction.
Reversed usually means the energy is internal, delayed or blocked. Apply that to that card only, then read the pair.
